Trump is a narcissist

First Brexit was a vote that got through when the polls thought it wouldn’t.

Now the peace deal with Farc has been rejected by Columbian voters, even though the polls said it would get accepted.

So one thing we do know is not to trust the Polls. People do what they do for the weirdest of reasons, and a protest vote for Trump, while thinking it will not count, could be a disaster for us all.

Trump is someone who is only interested in himself. It is all about him. That is important to think about.

He displays all the symptoms of Narcissistic Personality disorder. Seriously I looked them up:

  1. Has a grandiose sense of self-importance.
  2. Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.
  3. Believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions).
  4. Requires excessive admiration [regularly fishes for compliments, and is highly susceptible to flattery].
  5. Has a sense of entitlement.
  6. Is interpersonally exploitative.
  7. Lacks empathy
  8. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her.
  9. Shows arrogant, haughty [rude and abusive] behaviors or attitudes.

In addition, according to Psychology today they are also:

Highly reactive to criticism or perceived criticism

Can be inordinately self-righteous and defensive

And get this: tend to project their own failings onto other people without admitting them in themselves.

Sounds familiar?

trumpNow this is scary stuff. Do we really want a narcissist as the next President of the United States?

The rest of the world sees the man for what he really is, and most of us are shocked and appalled. Others however rejoice in what they see, for they see a man who could become leader of the most powerful nation on earth, and who they could exploit for their own means.

Whether it is foreign powers hoping to push the US from its top spot, by ensuring that Trump ruins the economy, and that would not be so hard to ensure, you just have to know what buttons to press. Or maybe other foreign powers who want to have an armed conflict, for their own ends, and pull the US in to it.

The only buffer between all these dark powers waiting to pounce and Trump actually totally going along with it, are the advisors who are around him. Who are these people? What are their motives, and is that who we want in charge? Even if their intentions are good, Trump is still a maverick and might override them. We cannot rule out anything.

America will become an even more lawless place than it is now.

He cannot care about women.

He cannot care about children

He cannot care about blacks or Hispanics

He cannot care about immigrants

He cannot care about the armed forces

He cannot care about paying his fair share in society

He cannot care about the poor or the middle class

He can only care about himself.  He is a narcissist.

You need to wonder why a man who is only interested in himself will stand for public office.

I read somewhere a while ago, a piece by someone in the know, who claimed that Trump only ran for president to increase his standing so he could renegotiate for the Apprentice show.  Today I read that at a rally yesterday, in a rant about the lack of good movies, he made reference to the Apprentice as a great show, and joked that maybe that was slightly more important than the presidency. Or maybe he was not joking, perhaps it is true that this was all about him getting his standing up so he could negotiate more money to be on the apprentice, where of course, the spotlight would be on him again.

It has backfired on him. The presidential bid was way more successful than he anticipated and so he came out with more and more outrageous things, as if on a show. But people loved it, and we all watched the reports in horror and fascination, and the attention of course fed his narcissism and suddenly he wanted to be president for real, as he perceived he had a good chance, and hell, it is an even bigger gig than the Apprentice.  So he changed tack, tried to be more presidential, but that is not sustainable, because he is not Presidential material, and never will be. And that is why he is out of control now, and also his brand is so damaged, that I do not know if the Apprentice will have him back.  The man has a mental illness, he needs treatment, and he needs it now.

Looking on the internet I found that lots of other people have also realised the truth about Trump. Here are some links. Check them out, and then go sign the petition on to get his mental state tested.

  1. I agree with you, it is shocking and very worrying, especially as there are so many Republicans who will vote for him not because he is a good guy but because they don’t want Hillary. Incidentally, my son in law who’s a senior social worker and very ‘up’ on personality disorders also diagnosed him as a narcissist.
